zazu's kitchen at the bear: new menus, new deals
Bear Flat has recently become an even tastier chill-out spot to hang out in thanks to the launch of a new Weekend Brunch selection, stylish Prix Fixe menu options at bargain prices and a range of tasty new seasonal specials for spring at Zazu’s Kitchen at The Bear.
Described by those in the know as “the perfect antidote to the night before” (aka the ultimate hangover cure?), Zazu’s leisurely weekend brunch menu now includes contemporary breakfast dishes alongside tried-and-trusted classics and a smattering of exotic, lesser-spotted treats to kick-start your morning in style; American pancakes, avocado tortilla (corn tortilla with fried eggs, smashed avocado, black bean salsa and fresh tomato), Shaksuka (a middle Eastern dish of spiced vegetables, baked eggs, tomatoes and crusty bread), steak’n’eggs and the glorious Tricolour (two poached eggs, smoked mozzarella, tomatoes, spinach, English muffin and hollandaise sauce) are freshly prepared for your delectation until a very civilised 3pm. Fancy accompanying your selection with a glossy hair of the dog? The smoked-oak vodka Bloody Mary with all the trimmings is highly recommended….
On the lunch menu, fish finger baps, Ruby and White beefburgers, salacious salads and Zazu’s classics such as linguine with chilli, parsley, walnuts and feta cheese are trending right now, while evening options have been extended to include a ‘Classics’ section featuring fish and chips, burgers, West Country moules, calves liver with streaky bacon and champ mash, Spatchcock chicken and halloumi and zucchini kebabs. Meanwhile the a la carte selection includes Osso Bucco (slow-braised veal shank), rump of Spring lamb and lemon polenta with leeks, balsamic beetroot and goats cheese fondant – what’s not to love?
The Prix Fixe set menu brings three courses to the table for just £13.50 at lunchtime and £18 post sunset, while the Bring a Friend For Free promotion on Thursdays remains to be one of Bath’s best bargains. What are you waiting for, Piggies? Spring out at Zazu’s.Categorised in: News
