Win two places on a one-day Chef Skills Course at Vale House Kitchen!
The first of its kind in England, Vale House Kitchen (based in the pastoral paradise that is the village of Timsbury, nr. Bath) offers a selection of informal but highly informative courses that give food lovers the opportunity to learn not only how to cook local, seasonal produce, but also how to hunt, forage and fish for the raw ingredients…and much, much more. But if you’re feeling stuck about where to get started, the one-day VHK Chef Skills Course in particular (led by Kieran Lenihan, executive chef for Farrells Irish Italian Restaurants) offers a wonderful opportunity for aspiring chefs to get to grips with the key skills necessary to gain confidence in the kitchen, from basic knife proficiency all the way through to handling seafood, selecting cuts of meat and learning the “secret techniques” that make complex recipes simple. VHK’s next Chef Skills Course takes place on Friday 25 April and costs £150pp. Fancy joining in the skilful fun? Yes indeed! Fancy winning two places on the course? Bring it on! All you have to do is visit the Vale House Kitchen website and find the answer this simple question: what are the names of the inspirational head honchos who established Vale House Kitchen in 2011? Email your answer to email@example.com no later than midday on Wednesday 23 April and the lucky prizewinner will be contacted by Vale House Kitchen no later than the following morning (Thursday 24 April). Good luck, Piggies!
