Tony Casey Pop-Up, Green Bird Cafe, Friday 23 & Saturday 24 June

If you follow our Twitter feed closely (and if not, why not?), you’ll be aware of how much of a pedestal we have forced Tony Casey (currently head chef of the rollicking’ Redan Inn; former head chef at both the Chequers and the Garrick’s Head) to leap up on. So, when news of a Casey-led pop-up event at the glorious Green Bird Cafe (Margaret’s Buildings) hit our inbox, you can only imagine how excited we were.

Fly along to the Green Bird on either Friday 23 or Saturday 24 June and prepare to indulge in a menu that includes “typical Tony” delights such as Tomato (chilled essence / summer vegetables / brik pastry), Lamb (with intriguing ‘brown sauce’ and bacon jam accompaniments), Sole (creamed leeks / lemon gel / scraps) and Foraged Flowers with elderflower jelly and dandelion honey. Sounds intriguing? You bet!

Tickets for both of these very special events cost just £50pp for a 7-course feast, plus snacks and surprises along the way. Fancy a tipple to accompany your foray?
