This week, The Pig is mostly…

Making the most of Picnic Coffee’s delicious August evening offer: a free Charcuterie Platter with every large glass of wine between 6-9pm on any Thursday-Saturday evening until the end of August. Yay! Get with the Picnic programme by following them on Twitter, @picnic_bath

Fascinated by the prospect of joining in the merry mayhem and sampling Bath Medieval Pudding, real mead, Trappist beers and more at the Medieval Sampling Suppers hosted by medieval monastic maestros Ora et Labora every Thursday at 6pm. While we’re on the subject of merry monks, OeL’s exclusive Pear Brandy is now in stock – grab a bottle, and pray your indulgence comes without too much of a hangover…

Eagerly anticipating curtain up on the Forum’s brand new independent coffee shop, due to open on St James Parade this autumn. The new venture is an intrinsic part of the venue’s overall plan to further establish itself on Bath’s cultural map by creating a lively chill-out zone that’s set to reinvigorate a thoroughfare that The Pig believes has been woefully overlooked in recent years. Groovy!
