Making the most of the glorious weather in Sydney Gardens (originally an 18th century “Pleasure Garden”, don’cha know) sustained by plentiful supplies of cake, ice cream and slurpable refreshments from the Indulgence Cafe’s brand new kiosk in the park. Good work, Indulgence folk!

Celebrating Bastille Day in style at Casanis, who will be offering suitably festive menus, music, a boules tournament and more on Monday 14 July. Chef Laurent Couvreur has also recently revealed his tres chic summer menus, best enjoyed in his “hidden garden” alfresco hotspot outback to complete the ultimate staycation experience

Planning on donning suitably tasteless vintage apparel and boogie-ing on down to Bailbrook House on Saturday 19 July to spend an evening with “Abba”. Expect reception drinks and canapes, music courtesy of acclaimed Abba tributeers Abba Gold plus a spiffing 3-course dinner in supremely elegant surroundings all for just £59pp. Mamma Mia!

Impressed by the forthcoming foodie events at long-standing Bath institution Woods, most notably the Seafood Extravaganza splurges on Tuesday 8-Friday 11 and Tuesday 15-Friday 18 July followed by Moules Frites for £9.95 on Tuesday 22-Friday 25 July and Tuesday 29 July-Friday 1 August.
