This week, The Pig is mostly…

Cheerfully gearing up for the next Pig Supper Club event – a ‘Party in Monaco’, no less! – at the Roman Baths Kitchen on Friday 30 May. Expect a cocktail-making masterclass, canapes, a menu inspired by the summertime flavours of the French Riviera, a roulette table (yes, really!) and sunset views over one of the most iconic squares in Europe, all for £42pp – email to make that all-important booking today!

Lapping up a tasteful slurp of total independence courtesy of those charismatic purveyors of good times-related tipples Independent Spirit. Forthcoming tasting sessions include ‘Meet the Beerd Brewers’ on Tuesday 20 May followed by a Chartreuse tasting two days later (Thursday 22 May) – do it, Piggies!

Offering a big Pig warm welcome to the new ‘foodmasters’ based at the Bath Fringe Festival‘s Spiegeltent this year. Malinkey’s are famous for taking silver service and a Michelin-starred chef to Glastonbury; now they’re bringing top tapas, seriously good international flavours and a fair few foodie surprises to Bath for 10 fabulous, festive feasting days (Friday 23 May-Sunday 1 June) – yay!

Eagerly anticipating getting up-close-and-personal with Michelin-starred superchef Nathan Outlaw when he visits Bath courtesy of Topping & Co to talk (and taste!) us through his new book ‘Fish Kitchen’ on Wednesday 28 May. Still hungry to cook the books? Moro/Morito head honchos Sam and Sam Clark are topping the Toppings’ charts the following week (Wednesday 4 June) – hoorah!

Pigging out at the new-look Boater at every opportunity: boisterous burgers on the sun deck when the weather complies or post-sunset smoked haddock chowder, Hanger steak and Paul’s Chocolate Brownie in the upstairs in the supper room – scrummy! Look out for full Pig review any day now…
