This week, The Pig is mostly…

Making a seasonal splash into the new Spring menus recently revealed at the Garrick’s Head pub. One of The Pig’s favourite watering holes isn’t all and only about those fabulous fish and chips, you know: head chef Tony Casey is doing great things in the kitchen, and his work is hugely appealing to both the plate and the palate. But don’t just take my word for it – go forth and sample his splendid selection at your earliest opportunity.

Planning on stocking up on zero on seasonal, organic goodies sourced without accruing food miles at the Bath City Farm‘s first monthly fresh produce market on Saturday 3 May.

Eagerly anticipating learning all kinds of new skills (and properly Pigging out on posh chocolate!) at the next Feast With a Chef event: a Chocolate Feast hosted by world-class chocolatier Marc Demarquette at the All Saints Centre in Weston on Saturday 26 April. To compliment Marc’s sweet contribution, a special 3-course menu will be rustled up by Lucknam Park cookery school Head Chef Hrishikesh (“Kesh”) Desai, and the £40pp ticket price includes a cocktail on arrival, the grub and, of course, Marc’s choccies. Yummety yum yum yum!
