This week, The Pig is mostly…

Absolutely delighted that the first Pig Guide Supper Club at the Elder Rooms last Thursday evening went so well: fabulous food, lovely guests, good times all round – yay! I now can’t wait to reveal the details of our next 3 – yes, 3! – shebangs; watch this space for the full lowdown and/or email to make sure you’re in the know.

Lovin’ the results of the refurb that’s been going on behind the scaffolding at the Royal Crescent Hotel: The Montagu Bar is a total glamorama hotspot, the creepy wall-of-moss thing that used to weird-out diners in the restaurant has gone for good and head chef David Campbell has done amazing things to the menu. Good work, all!

Urging – yes, urging! – piglets who are planning a party to turn to Kath at Indulgence Cafe for her catering services. Kath now also supplies restaurants, cafes and shops around Bath with her perfect patisserie, bakes and biscuits – whaddya waiting for?

Eagerly anticipating chowing down at Bath Literature Festival sponsor the Abbey Hotel’s Literary Lunches at the Allium Brasserie during the forthcoming Bath Literature Festival bookworm bash – that’ll be lunch with Matthew Fort and James Pembroke on Wednesday 5 March, ‘Dinner with Mr Darcy’ on Friday 7 March followed by dinner with Mark Hix on the same evening and ‘Cooking at Home’ with Sophie Waugh on Sunday 9 March; book today, Piglets!

Slurping up news about the brand new Fine Wine and Dine Club at the Garrick’s Head (pictured). Expect a 2-course dinner for around £22, accompanied by a selection of fine, rare and unique wines that you’re unlikely to find elsewhere, available at cost price. Interested? Register for news of the next club immediately! Call 01225 318368 or email
