This week, The Pig is mostly…
Keeping trotters crossed that the first Pig Guide Supper Club at The Elder Rooms (pictured) this Thursday 27 February goes really, really well and proves to be the first of many. But we can only make it happen if you’re on board! The £39.95 price includes fizz, canapes and a very special 3-course feast, and there are still very limited places available. Wanna join us? Email firstname.lastname@example.org – but make it snappy!
Absolutely lovin’ The Pantry, the Bath Priory’s brand new, tres chic dining area, now open to all after their spiffing launch party last week. There’s literally something for everyone on the imaginative, reasonably priced all-day menu; has The Pig discovered a new get-away-from-it-all HQ? Look out for a full Pig review soon.
Eagerly anticipating the Garrick’s Head’s inaugural Fine Wine and Dine Club taking place on Monday 24 February. Expect a 2-course dinner for £22.50, accompanied by a selection of fine, rare and unique wines that you’re unlikely to find elsewhere, available at cost price. Can’t make the first date? Register for news of the next club immediately! Call 01225 318368 or email email@example.com
Responding to the frequently-asked question “why doesn’t The Pig ever write a really nasty restaurant review” with one (fairly!) succinct statement: I’m simply not in the business of putting anybody out of business – if there’s a venture I don’t recommend, that says it all, really…and said ventures do a good job of maintaining their own dreadful reputations without my help…
Booking a front row seat at the Theatre Royal’s Ustinov Studio when Dan LeFranc’s acclaimed drama ‘The Big Meal‘ takes to the stage (as part of the theatre’s American Season) from Thursday 6 March-Saturday 5 April. Considering the central role that food-based socialising has in all our lives, all too few dramas are set in restaurants; this one makes the very most of The Pig’s favourite backdrop.Categorised in: News
