The Longs Arms fly the flag for BANES in national top 50 gastropub charts

The Pig Guide is oinking hearty congratulations to the lovely Longs Arms (South Wraxall) on their inclusion on the illustrious list of top 50 Gastropubs in the UK. The winners were voted for by top industry experts including food writers, chefs and pub guide editors – but get this: the Longs Arms are the only pub in the Bath and BANES region to make the list.

“Every region now has a handful of great food pubs within easy reach that Brits can count on for a superb meal, prepared by chefs whose skills wouldn’t be out of place in the world’s best restaurants,” says Nicholas Robinson, Top 50 Gastropubs editor. “Gastropubs in the UK are the backbone of accessible and high-quality food.” “This is the second year that we’ve sponsored the Top 50 Gastropub Awards and we’re thrilled and incredibly proud to be a part of such an important event,” adds James Healey, UK sales manager of headline sponsor Estrella Damm. “We’re recognising all top 50 winners for their hard work and dedication in raising the bar in pub dining, and in so doing, ensuring the longevity and legacy of that Great British icon: the pub.”

Well said, both! And well done superchef Rob Allcock and the whole team at The Longs Arms – we’re very, very proud of you.
