The Great Bath Feast 2015, 1-31 October

Excitement is building at Pig Guide HQ as Bath gears up to party on down at the ultimate harvest festival.

The Great Bath Feast (1-31 October) aims to offer a diverse programme of events to suit all tastes and wallets, bringing them all together under one big, tasty banner. There are multiple opportunities to get your autograph books out and swoon in the presence of the UK’s top celebrity chefs and plenty of glamorous events worthy of getting the glad rags out for too. But to The Pig Guide, the essence of the whole shebang is all about celebrating what makes eating out in Bath such an enduringly fascinating experience all year round, for all of us: the uniquely vibrant independent restaurants, delis and bars that, despite the vagaries of the financial climate, continue to fly the flag for inspirational, passion-fuelled, good times experiences.

Choosing a favourite Great Bath Feast event this year would be akin to be asked to choose a favourite child; much-loved Pig Guide members including Independent SpiritHartley Farm, the Huntsman, the Garrick’s Head, the Olive Tree, the Oakhill Inn, the Vaults at the Theatre Royal, the Bath Priory, Gascoyne Place, the Allium Brasserie, Bistrot Pierre, Chequers, the King William, Bistro La Barrique, the Centurion, the Marlborough Tavern, the Scallop Shell and Menu Gordon Jones are all participating this year, each bringing their own unique flavour of Bath to the table. The Great Bath Feast website clearly directs eager feasters to the indispensable ‘what, when and where’ information, so we urge you to clickety-click double-quick to ensure tickets for the menus and events that pique your interest. The Pig, meanwhile, will be live tweeting from (and reviewing) our member’s events and offering Twitter support to all of them as October rolls along, so none of our lovely Pig Giude supporters will miss a single crumb of what’s going on – tuck in, Piggies!
