the bath pub company presents: The Locksbrook Inn

The team responsible for gifting Bath with the Marlborough Tavern, the Chequers and the Hare and Hounds have revealed that they are poised to welcome a fourth member to the family.

In March of this year, the Bath Pub Company took on the lease for The Dolphin Inn on Locksbrook Road (Lower Weston). Following a £250,000 joint refurbishment in partnership with Enterprise Inns, the pub will reopen as The Locksbrook Inn in May. “Our association with this pub does seem to be Bath’s worst kept secret at the moment, so it’s probably time we let people know a bit more about what’s in store!” says BPC director Joe Cussens. “Our pubs each have their own character, and everybody can rest assured that we’re planning something a little different for this one. The building is undergoing a transformation, and the change of name feels right for the pub’s heritage, its position on the canal and its next chapter; we’re aiming to build a special place that we hope people will feel proud to call their local.”

The Bath Pub Company will operate The Locksbrook Inn under a lease issued by Enterprise Inns and will open for drinks, breakfast, lunch and evening meals seven days a week. See more of the renovation work (and current job vacancies) here – the website will be fully updated when the pub opens.
