Speakeasy Festival at Bath Pavilion, Friday 29 November
The UK’s first prohibition-themed Speakeasy Festival swings into Bath on Friday 29 November, bringing a selection of very fine ‘giggle water’ including world gins, bourbons, whiskeys, American IPA’s, beers and prohibition-inspired cocktails to the Bath Pavilion. The festival organisers tell us that “1920’s glamour awaits as we sweep you back 100 years to an era where mobsters mingled with movie stars, the liquor was wet and the good times roared” – now that, to us, sounds like the promise of a party.
Tickets (standard entry from £12.50; Diamond Club – to include guaranteed seating in a VIP area plus £20 drinks voucher per person – from £35) will include a password that gets you through the door, a Tom Collins cocktail in your very own branded speakeasy glass, a prohibition wristband and live entertainment including a 1920’s swing-style band. Meanwhile, a food stand specialising in Chicago-themed grub offers refuelling opportunities along the way, and the Mobs and Molls dress code is optional rather than obligatory… but don’t be a killjoy, kapeesh?Categorised in: News
