Rooted Café and Supper Rooms opens on Newbridge Road
There’s been a flurry of activity in, on and around 20 Newbridge Road for quite a while… but at last, The Big Reveal has revealed something very special indeed.
Rooted Café and Supper Rooms is a family-run, veggie/vegan haven of loveliness bought to you by the same dynamic duo (that’ll be Nick and Mich, then) behind The Grocer on Locksbrook. This bright, welcoming diner celebrates all that’s wonderful about right here, right now food (“no chemicals, no artificial junk, just flavour”) courtesy of a dynamic focus on seasonality and local sourcing woven throughout the intelligently-curated yet wholly accessible menus. The down-to-earth (in the true sense of the words) ethos extends well beyond those menus, too: fixtures, fittings and furniture are all made by hand from recycled wood in Nick and Mich’s garden, and all food waste is composted through local farms.
Whether you want to share a Meze Board with your mate, nourish mind, body and soul with an Earth Bowl or end your search for super-hip, super-wholesome satiation courtesy of a Korean BBQ Kimchi Dog, it’s all going on – and plenty more of plentiful everything else besides.
Keep a close eye on Rooted; we predict it’s set to flourish, fast.
