a very special moveable feast
If you’re in the mood for a very special moveable feast, you’ve come to the right place. Cafe L’ard – a monthly vegetarian Supper Club popping up at a carefully-selected array of some of Bath’s most unique venues – is the brainchild of charming Chef Carole, who trained at the Vegetarian Society in Manchester, holds an auspicious Professional Cordon Vert Diploma and has almost three decades of foodie-fabulous experience on her CV. Carole describes her Supper Clubs as “relaxed, informal occasions that bring together a group of people who may be strangers to each other at the start of the evening but who are already united by a love of food.” That’s us, that is – and we know for sure that it could definitely be you, too.
Dates on the forthcoming Cafe L’ard schedule include three veggie feasts at the New Oriel Hall (Sarurday 21 October, Saturday 4 November and Saturday 16 December), a Vegetarian Curry Night (yum!) at St Alphege’s Hall on Saturday 18 November and – ta-da! – the unique Bennett Banquet at St Swithin’s Church on Friday 29 September (this one isn’t actually vegetarian, but it is part of this year’s Great Bath Feast – hoorah!).
Each Cafe L’ard Supper Club costs just £25pp for five – five! – table d’hote courses, and you’re welcome to bring your own tipple of choice along with you, so what you spend ‘at the bar’ (there isn’t one, hah!) is up to you – tasty stuff indeed. We will of course be feeding our Twitter followers with all the necessary information and updates as time rolls along, while details will also be regularly updated on the Cafe L’ard website; ah, we l’urve Cafe L’ard.
