News from the Scallop Shell: Garry in line for a gong

The Pig would like to offer heartfelt congratulations to the team behind the Scallop Shell in Beckington (near Frome) as the fab fish folk celebrate the recent announcement that the venture has made it into the top three shortlist for Best Newcomer in the illustrious National Best Fish and Chip Awards 2014. “It is so rewarding to make it into the top three in the UK,” says Scallop Shell founder and owner Garry Rosser, who also operates a fresh fish counter from the farm shop on the same complex. “The quality and professionalism across the industry is enormous, so this announcement is mindblowing! We work so hard to do something that we love and make our customers love us to; to have all that effort officially recognised is just fantastic.” Good work, Garry – now go forth and grab that gong!
