News from SouthGate: Tapas Revolution & Pies and Puds

We’re really looking forward to joining Omar (“the Antonio Banderas of Spanish food”) Allibhoy’s Tapas Revolution when his brand new restaurant opens in SouthGate at the end of May. From albondigas to zarzuela via chorizo, calamares, tortilla, gambas, paella, jamon, churros by way of all kinds of other Iberian delights that make a UK spell check meltdown in revolt, this boy’s terrific tapas is set to tantalise in style. Meanwhile, just across t’road….

We’re eagerly anticipating going carb crazy at Pies and Puds, the lovely little independent venture on Brunel Square (pretty much adjacent to the railway station) specialising in savoury pies and sweet puds to take away, either to munch on the hoof or enjoy at home. Who ate all the pies? Us, given half the chance!
