Midsummer Night’s Dream Summer Supper Club hosted by The Pig Guide at The Royal Crescent Hotel, Thursday 20 June

I know a bank where the wild thyme blows, where oxlips and the nodding violet grows, quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine, with sweet musk-roses and with eglantine”

The quote is from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the bank is in the glorious, magical gardens of The Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa… and the reason we’re putting them both together in this super-exciting news bulletin is because – ta-daa! – that’s exactly where we’ll be hosting our very special Midsummer Night’s Dream-themed summer Supper Club on Thursday 20 June.

Surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of the hotel’s beautiful private garden, RCH head chef David Campbell will be serving five courses of seasonal dishes inspired by the traditional English Summer incorporating fresh garden-grown ingredients and accompanied by a matching wine flight carefully selected by bar manager and esteemed sommelier Jean-marc Leitao.

The fabulous feast will be served at one long feasting table to encourage a sociable, chilled-out vibe, and all manner of enchanting flourishes (including an informal Q&A with David himself) will delight, entertain and thoroughly charm all those in attendance. The dress code is smart casual summer party wear (but do feel free to dress according to the theme should you wish to), and blankets will be provided to keep us all snug as the sun goes down. And if it rains? We’ll simply take the merriment indoors, in equally magical surroundings.

As this is a one-off, exclusive event, tickets (which cost £99 per person) are strictly limited to a maximum of 18. Fairies, skip hence! To make that all-important booking, clickety-click right here, right now. Once you have purchased your tickets, please email any dietary requirements to with the subject line “Midsummer supper dietary requirements”.

I must go now, and seek some dewdrops here, and hang a pearl in every cowslip’s ear” – see you at the party, Piggies!
