Kingsmead Square to host Sport Relief Cake Sale
We’re firing up the oven and greasing the cake tins at Pig Guide HQ in preparation for creating our donation to the Kingsmead Square Bake Sale in aid of Sport Relief on Saturday 19 March… and we’re trusting that likeminded, cake-creative Piggies will be doing the very same.
Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives, culminating with the Sport Relief weekend and a fantastic night of TV on the BBC. The money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help people in need across the UK and the world’s poorest communities.
“I wanted to do something to support Sport Relief this year – however, as I’m not particularly sporty, I came up with the plan to bring the businesses in Kingsmead Square together to team up to bake and sell cakes instead!” says Emma Savage, the initiative’s organiser and owner of delectable designer resale emporium Grace and Ted. “Every little helps, and we’d love to see as many locals as possible in the square enjoying a cuppa and some cake for this brilliant cause.”
Cakes donated by businesses or homemade by local star bakers will be on sale for a small donation to the charity. Come on Piggies – get your bake on! For further information, call in to Grace and Ted for a chat with Emma or drop her an email firstname.lastname@example.org. Ready? Steady? BAKE!Categorised in: News
