Jean Pierre Auge to host gascoyne place wine tasting, mon 9 Feb

Charismatic bon viveur Jean Pierre Auge (known to – and loved by – many Bathonians as the former proprietor of long-standing, legendary Bath institution the Beaujolais Bistro) is to host a grand Wine Tasting at Gascoyne Place on Monday 9 February. Monsieur Auge will be exclusively showcasing a range of top tipples from La Bascula Wines (Spain) and Calmel and Joseph (Languedoc) in association with independent wine merchants Viader Vintners. The tasting is open to trade professionals from 4-6pm and the general public from 6-8pm. Entrance is free, nibbles will be provided and all the wines will be available at off licence prices to interested parties. If you wish to linger longer at GP after the event, bear in mind that, alongside the glorious a la carte selection, the exceedingly wallet-friendly pre-theatre menu (2-courses £14.50; 3/£19) is available all the way through to 10pm Monday-Thursday for the whole month of February. Cheers, m’dears! Et bon appetit.
