Fundraising Afternoon Tea at The Bath Priory hosted by former Bath rugby player Ed Jackson, Monday 14 May
Imagine taking a luxuriously elegant afternoon tea in utterly refined, subtly glamorous surroundings, meeting one of the most inspirational sports-world superstars in the country… and raising money for a really, really good cause while you’re at it.
If that sounds like a wonderful experience, turn it into a reality on Monday 14 May, when The Bath Priory presents a fundraising afternoon tea hosted by former Bath rugby player Ed Jackson, raising vital funds for the unique RNHRD and Therapies Centre at RUH Bath: one of The Forever Friends Appeal projects that make a real difference to the lives of hundreds of thousands of patients cared for by the RUH each year as well as the friends and family who visit them.
From 2.30pm, Ed will share stories about his inspiring road to recovery after a serious injury left him unable to move from the chest down in 2017. Tickets cost just £30pp to include The Bath Priory’s legendarily scrumptious full afternoon tea which includes freshly-cut finger sandwiches, a selection of homemade cakes and delicious fruit and plain scones served with clotted cream and strawberry jam, all served accompanied by your choice from a wide selection of loose leaf teas or coffee. After tea, guests are invited to enjoy The Bath Priory’s beautiful 4-acre gardens, perfect to either stroll around or to enjoy while seated on the outdoor garden terrace.
All proceeds will go directly to The Bath Priory’s fundraising total for the Walk the Life, adding to funds raised as staff members walk the full 26.2 mile marathon distance along the beautiful Kennet and Avon canal, from Bishop’s Cannings in Devizes to Bath.
