Forthcoming fascinating courses at Demuths Vegetarian Cookery School
We at Pig Guide HQ are currently fascinated by the tantalising, imaginative raft of upcoming courses at Demuths Vegetarian Cookery School, not least of all because 50% of the Pig Guide team has recently taken to a totally face-free diet. But you know, vegetarian/vegan food isn’t just for vegetarians or vegans; the Meat Free Mondays campaign is trending at a pace, while a recent survey conducted by global market research experts Mintel estimated that while a whopping 12% of us eschew meat and fish altogether, thousands more identify themselves as “flexitarian” (ie, “substantially cutting back on the amount of meat they eat). Meanwhile, with the at-home, cosy dinner party season upon us and Christmas creeping up just around the corner it’s likely that, even if you’re not avoiding meat yourself, you could soon be catering for somebody who is; it’s time to break the mushroom risotto/vegetarian lasagne cycle and dust up on your meat-free merriment.
So, what’s on the Demuths menu? All manner of inspirational ideas, including the including Gourmet Vegan Day on Sunday 6 November, the Thai Evening Workshop on Wednesday 9 November, the Vegan Fast and Delicious Day on Friday 11 November and Asian Street Food Day on Friday 18 November – and that’s just for starters; wait until you see what’s in the pipeline for Christmas!
