Firework Night party & good news in general from the Hare and Hounds
The dark nights are already way too long and the frost is nipping at our heels with a vengeance – but at this time of year, the cheerfully cosy Hare and Hounds makes dealing with the harsh realities of the impending British winter bearable.
Monday 5 November means just one thing around these yer parts: the return of the legendary H&H Fireworks Night party. Doors (and the alfresco bar, and the barbecue, and the live music stage – yay!) all open at 5pm in readiness for a spectacular firework display set to light up the skies from 7pm. Tickets cost just £5 per adult and £4 for little people aged 4-16 years, while really little people (-4) go free. Bear in mind that parking will not be available at the pub for this event; guests are asked instead to park at the nearby Park and Ride and hope on the bus down the hill. Meanwhile…
A recent seasonal menu revamp has introduced delectable dishes such as salt-baked beetroot and sage risotto with spinach, blue cheese and walnuts (see pic) to the alluring array, while a recent refurbishment has revamped the pub’s bar area, creating lots more space in which to make merry.
Forget the winter woes – at the Hare and Hounds, the season to be jolly is well underway.
