Exciting autumn tasting menus at bailbrook house

An exciting schedule of unique autumnal Tasting Menu events at Bailbrook House is really piquing our interest at Pig Guide HQ.

On Saturday 24 September, we’re taking a journey back in time and going Back to School in the best possible way when new twists on vintage classics such as ham, egg and chips, suet pudding, jam roly poly, arctic roll (yes!) and jammie dodgers promise to reinvent the meaning of school dinners forever. On Saturday 15 October, an Evening of Autumnal Cuisine with a Medieval Twist will be served in conjunction with this year’s Great Bath Feast (look out for the Coffin of Death by Chocolate – we are, after all, approaching Halloween), and on Friday 4 November, a homage to Bonfire Night brings fascinating dishes such as King Charles Executed Scallops, a Plague of English Beef, Penny for the Guy Chocolate Bombe and Bonfire Toffee to the table.

All three Tasting Menu events cost just £50pp to include a welcome drink in the hotel’s elegant Royal Lounge followed by a 5-course menu with matching wines accompanied by live music in the Cloisters Restaurant. But be warned, Piggies: tickets for all three events are likely to sell out fast, so don’t loiter around the idea of Cloisters for too long; make that booking today!
