Dan Moon’s Seafood Tasting Menu hosted by Novel Wines at the Green Bird Cafe, Thursday 31 March

If you’re looking for a slice of really exciting foodie news, you’ve come to the right place – or rather, you’ll go to the right place if you head to the glorious Green Bird Cafe (St Margaret’s Buildings) on Thursday 31 March. Why? Because not only is legendary Bath-based superchef Dan Moon (whom many of you know from his own eponymous restaurant during his 3AA Rosette Gainsborough Hotel days) presenting a thoroughly invigorating 5-course Tasting Menu, but each of the spectacular dishes will be accompanied by especially-selected tipples courtesy of the fabulous Novel Wines.

Dan is in the process of launching his own restaurant Yuzu, and he’s currently running a series of exciting private dining experiences. But this is your opportunity to see him do his thing, live in the Green Bird Cafe kitchen.

The menu includes enticing delights such as Salmon, Haddock Chowder, Parmesan; Scallops, Crab Risotto, Yuzu; and Curried Brill, Cauliflower, Wild rice, while the fascinating wine list introduces us to a range of impeccably-sourced tantalisers including Endre Demeter’s Estate Furmint (Tokaj, Hungary), Oliver Zeter’s Pinot Noir Reserve (Pfalz, Germany) and Vakakis Samos Vins Naturel (Patras, Greece); see the full menu here.

Tickets for this spectacular event are just £75pp but are limited to just 24 spaces, so clickety-click, double-quick right here… and prepare to swoon.
