Bath Business Bake Off for Comic Relief, Friday 13 March
Can you rustle up a Victoria Sponge good enough to impress even Mary Berry? Do you have an urge to prove that you’re a master (or mistress!) of the non-soggy bottom? Have you ever watched the Great British Bake Off and muttered the immortal words “I could do better than that”? If so – or even if not! – here’s your chance to flaunt your baking skills and raise money for a Very Good Cause in the process: entry for the Bath Business Bake Off for Comic Relief is open! Here’s how it works:
All entrants must create a homemade, completely edible “show stopping” cake (or collection of cupcakes) that represents your business, the company you work for or your profession, reflected in the shape, your choice of ingredients or the decoration. All ingredients used must be indicated on the entry form, along with a brief explanation of the inspiration behind your Comic Relief creation. You are obliged to deliver your cake to the Green Park Brasserie Event Room (upstairs) between 8-9.30am on Friday 13 March, when an esteemed panel of judges (including your very own Pig Guide!) will spend the whole morning judging all entries in readiness to reveal the results at 12.30 to which all entrants are invited back to hear & of course eat the entries. How exciting is that?! But before you start gathering your ingredients together, take note of the following important details: your cake MUST be homemade – any suspected shop-bought contenders will be disqualified. Entries will not be accepted from professional bakers – that’s just not fair! And all entrants must make a donation of £5 through the Just Giving page (click here) or bring the £5 cash with them before they put their cake on show, every penny of which will be donated directly to Comic Relief. Want to chat more about all this? Simply ‘like’ the Geometry PR Facebook page and add yourself to the event on their page; all communication and queries related to the Bath Business Bake Off for Comic Relief will be managed here or email Emma on email@example.com if you’re not on Facebook.
