Babylonstoren Meet The Winemaker event at Le Vignoble, Thursday 18 October
With origins dating back to 1692, Babylonstoren is an historic South African farm that boasts one of the best preserved werfs (farm yards) in the Cape. Babylonstoren Wines are produced in a state-of-the-art winery, and carefully created to showcase the soils and climate where the grapes are grown. The winery curates 88 hectares and produces 13 different grape varieties with the highest vines – Pinot Noir and Chardonnay – lying against Simonsberg, some 600 metres above sea level, while every aspect of Babylonstoren is led by the ever-changing tapestry and botanical diversity of its beloved gardens.
Discover more about the charms of this fascinating winery (let alone the top tipples it produces) when Babylonstoren’s Duncan Pilbeam visits Le Vignoble (Milsom Place) on Thursday 18 October to tell us more about the company’s history, production methods and beliefs… and, of course, guide us through a dedicated tasting.
Tickets to this event cost £20pp, £10 of which is returned to your bespoke Le Vignoble wine card. Cheers, Piggies!Categorised in: News
