Autumn Market at Kingsmead Square, Saturday 10 October
Kingsmead Square is hosting an Autumn Market this Saturday 10 October from 10am-5pm. Organised by Emma Savage (Grace & Ted) and Piers and Sophia Milburn, owners of The Kingsmead Kitchen (formally the Jazz Cafe), the square will be dominated by stalls selling handmade crafts, art and jewellery from some of Bath’s best local independent businesses, family-friendly Autumn themed activities… and lots of that all-important, locally-produced grub. Many of the square’s much-loved independent cafes will be offering a broad selection of refreshment options including street food to enjoy on-the-hoof, while the Kingsmead Kitchen will be bringing along their vintage tractor barbecue and cooking up delicious autumnal treats including burgers which are 100% homegrown on their farm.
“Previous markets in Kingsmead Square have been really successful and create a lovely vibe that we don’t think you can find elsewhere in the city,” says Emma. “We’ve been lucky enough to have been given permission to hold quarterly markets and all of the businesses here are excited for them to become a regular fixture in Bath’s event calendar!” “We’re thrilled to be working with Emma to create these wonderful, vibrant markets for Bath,” adds Piers. “We want to uncover a sense of Kingsmead’s history as an area of orchards and market gardens by offering a country atmosphere and great food made with homegrown seasonal ingredients”.
This little piggy is most definitely going to market this Saturday; see you there, fellow piglets!Categorised in: News
