Seeing some great improvements on the website hits & overall time spent on the site. I spent some time before the start of last week working on the way that users interact with the site, the ‘search all’ is now randomised to give a fairer few of the listings. The search function was being used a lot more thoroughly since then, a possible side effect.
I can see the time spent reading the top 5 listings is around the 3 minute mark for each, users are not only clicking through to see the pretty pictures but taking the time to read the reviews which is a great sign.
There has been a lot of traffic on the new job section & in fact the 3 jobs listed were in the top 10 most popular pages on the site last week. Obviously we don’t want it to become a job site but good to see that more users are getting to the site & it could be partly to do with this extra boost of content.
Again, brilliant Twitter stats & the newsletter has worked a treat in taking people through to the site with a much higher than average open & click rates. The Southgate news story proved a popular one both through the newsletter & on the site.
