Alfresco Sharing Menu at the Royal Crescent Hotel
If you associate the discreetly luxurious Royal Crescent Hotel with an exquisite Afternoon Tea or a divine dinner in the sumptuous Dower House Restaurant (and why wouldn’t you? Both are sumptuously splendid options indeed,) prepare to have your perceptions shaken up in the most elegantly exciting way.
Royal Crescent Executive Head Chef David Campbell has created an array of delicious sharing plates specifically designed to be enjoyed in the scented oasis of calm that is the hotel’s beautiful private garden from 5pm-8pm every weekday from Monday 7 May.
The small plates cost just £2-£6 each, and include options such as crispy duck leg with peanut, pickled ginger and coriander; mini fish’n’chip cone with tartare sauce and lemon; Cornish mussel scampi; and Dorset charcuterie with pickles and parmesan. Needless to say, there’s a rather splendid choice of drinks available to accompany your grazing feast (the hotel’s Montagu Bar offers a legendarily spectacular range of wines, Taittinger Champagnes, cocktails and more,) but we reckon that the hotel’s signature Summer in the City cocktail, made with Sipsmith Gin, is the perfect match to what’s set to be one of Bath’s best alfresco merrymaking experiences this summer.
