Afternoon Tea menu unveiled at The Elder Rooms

Now that the chic’n’cheerful Elder Rooms (above the recently-refurbished Huntsman pub) has established itself at the heart of the Bath merrymaking scene, Head Chef Blaine Miles has extended his repertoire to offer a range of Afternoon Tea options that cleverly combine tradition with contemporary flair. Choose from the ‘Classic’ menu, which includes a selection of finger sandwiches, home scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, Orange and Rosemary cake (made to Blaine’s mum’s own recipe!), Cherry Chocolate Brownie and mini Vanilla Crème Brulee all for £14.95pp; the ‘Indulgent’ selection (the ‘Classic’ minus the sandwiches – £11.95pp) or the perfect afternoon pick-me-up that is the seductively simple ‘Cream Tea’: scone, jam and, of course, clotted cream. Afternoon Tea will be served at the Elder Rooms every afternoon from Monday 21 April, and they all include a selection of Tea Pigs teas or freshly ground coffee as part of the package. And if you want to turn your tea it into an extra-tantalising treat, upgrade by £5.45 and add a Hendrick’s Gin cocktail or a glass of Prosecco to get the party started in style.
