A Taste of Vegan Indian at The Mint Room, Monday 20 January
Celebrate Veganuary at The Mint Room on Monday 20 January when a very special Supper Club turns the spotlight on the very best of vegan food from the Indian subcontinent, featuring guest chef Saurav Nath (Benares; Gymkana) at the hob and co-hosted by former food and hospitality journalist turned consultant Humayun Hussain, who is widely regarded as one of the foremost authorities on Indian food and restaurants in the UK.
The uniquely flamboyant feast features dishes such as an amuse bouche of Gajjar aur Suryamukhi ka Shorba (Jerusalem artichoke and Chantilly carrot soup infused with curry leaf, mustard, asafoetida and sunflower seed, with leek and kale pakora), a mid-course (gotta love a menu that offers guests a ‘mid-course’) of Chukandari Gole (beetroot croquette infused with ginger, chilli and kaffir lime, wasabi yogurt, coconut beet chutney and peanut curry powder), Texture of Roots and Bean Curd for the main course event
(charcoal grilled celeriac, celeriac puree, crispy onion, almond, melon seed soil, bean curd kofta, Kashimiri korma puree and coriander cress) and a tantalising avocado and chocolate mousse dessert. Side dishes, superb service and a sparkling environment in which to enjoy this very special event come as standard… all for just £35pp. Space, however, is strictly limited; call 01225 446656 to reserve your place at the party today.
